Some of my older readers may remember Susan Powter's infomercial slogan from back in the 90's shouting out to us to "Stop the insanity!" Powter set herself apart from other dietitians by condemning the diet industry. She exploded the myth that we needed to eat less to lose weight, and she explained why sometimes we actually need to eat more to lose weight because many people had tried every fad diet and just kept getting fatter.

A lot of newbie Internet Marketers may find themselves in a similar situation suffering from information overload. Some of it is good information but in many cases it's often intermingled with myths, incomplete or out dated information. Like the fad diets that so many people chase in the hopes of finding that magic bullet that will suddenly transform them from chubby to thin, you have newbie marketers out there jumping on every new over-hyped pitch of the day that comes out and then ultimately ending up with information overload and little or no results. What you really need is a step by step road map or blueprint to keep you on course through the maze of information that is so readily available to you about how to make money at home or online. First establish a good solid business plan and start making money, then if you still feel the need to venture out and jump on the program of the day you won't be hurting yourself.
