When looking for different ways of how to make money at home you always want to try and avoid the massive number of scams out there. Most of these scams want to charge you money up front. You should never have to do that if it's a legitimate opportunity. One good way around this is to change your mindset from looking for a job to looking for a low cost business model you can use to make money at home. With the internet being as popular as it is, it has never been easier to do than it is today. You can make everything from some extra fun money all the way up to a full fledged income.
Thinking along these lines this raises a very interesting question. If I'm going to look at businesses to make money at home then what business model do I follow? Well there are three main methods for making money online that people are talking about as being useful. They are as follows:
Affiliate Marketing which is driving traffic to other people’s websites to earn a commission.
Product Creation which usually involves writing an e-book and then marketing it online.
Resell Rights which is buying the rights to sell a product which has already been created.
There are advantages and disadvantages to all three. To help sort them out my friend Derrick Van Dyke has put together a short 7 page free report that helps explain in more detail the ins and outs of each model. You can download that Special Free report by clicking here for How to make money at home, the ultimate business model.
Hopefully some of the ideas that he's put together will help you along on your quest to make money at home.

How to make money at home writing and selling E-Books (lesson 3)
This is the third and final lesson in my series on how to make money at home writing and selling e-books. Today we are going to take a look at how you can promote your e-book for profit.
The ideal way to promote your e-book would be to create a website. That way the website will act as your sales page for your e-book. People will also be able order your e-book directly from your website and once they have paid for the e-book the order would also be fulfilled through your website. This makes it easy for you because your main focus would be in generating traffic to your website which can be accomplished in a wide variety of different ways not limited to but including article marketing, SEO, pay per click advertising or through using your signature in forums that are related to the topic of your e-book.
Another alternative to the website would be to set up a blog. Preferably a word press blog since they are very easily optimized for the search engines. Blogs have the advantage of allowing you to constantly add fresh content to promote your e-book. They also give you the ability to interact with your prospects and depending on your chosen niche you can give away free information to attract a steady flow of new prospects for your e-book.
Either way you go you will definitely want to set up some sort of way to capture your visitors contact information to get them on a list. Most people don’t buy on their first visit to your site. You will need to get them into your auto responder so that you can follow up with them to make the sale. It may take up to 7 or more emails before they finally decide to buy your e-book. Once you have a list of prospects it will make it a lot easier to promote your next e-book.
You can also opt to promote your e-book for free through joining relevant forums and social networking sites. Approach a few potential joint venture partners on forums and social networking sites via email and ask them to help promote your e-book
Also run a few promotional campaigns like giving out freebies or discounts to the first 50 or 100 buyers. People love a great bargain. Look for advertisers that can help you promote your e-books and your website. Give commissions to advertisers that will promote your e-books and your website. The more people helping you to endorse your e-book, the more likely it will sell.
Eventually you will find that about 20% of your promotional efforts are yielding you 80% of the results that you are getting. That is when it’s time to tweak and fine tune your efforts for maximum results.
As you can see from this series setting up a business selling and writing e-books can be fun, challenging and very rewarding and when thinking of how to make money at home it should be at or near the top of your list.

How to make money at home writing and selling E-Books (lesson 2)
This is the second lesson in my brief series on how to make money at home writing and selling e-books. Today we are going to take a look at how to Create a Great Topic for your e-book
It really couldn't be easier to select a great topic for your e-book. People are hungry for information, and one of the first places they look is on the Internet to find that information
Start with what you know. "How to" books sell very well in a wide variety of different niches. Make a list of all your hobbies and also any specialized education and work experience that you've had over the years.
Anything that you can possibly think of that may help someone else solve a problem is also a great way to come up with a topic. People are always willing to spend money on a solution to their problems. Think of what problems you've recently solved in your own life, and what kinds of problems others around you have had and solved. Any problem that has been solved in your world could easily be the subject of your next book. People love to read how others have solved a problem that they currently have
If you take a look around you it's not very hard to find people with challenges in their life that you might be able to offer a solution for. Did you lose your job? What steps did you take to find a new one? What worked? What didn't work? Did you recently lose weight? How did you take off that last ten pounds? I think you get the idea.
You'll also want to also make sure that it's a topic that you are going to really enjoy writing about. What is it that you are really passionate about? Do you absolutely love baking cookies? If the topic is about something you really love it will make it a whole lot easier to complete your book.
If you are really finding it tough to find a topic to write about you can go to Amazon.com or Magazines.com and check out the top popular categories or go to Google and just type in "how to" and see what comes up. What you will be able to discover are all the hot topics that people want to know more information about.
As a bonus for being a reader of my blog here is a free download for you, just click here for the top 50 hottest niches. This will be a real time saver. You will definitely find some good niche topics to write about if you use this. No, I didn't write it nor am I an affiliate of any product or products that the author may have. I've used it myself and find it very helpful and want to pass it on to you my loyal reader. Next post we are going to discover how to promote our new e-book which is going to be key if you want to learn how to make money at home.
Setting up a business selling e-books can be very rewarding and is a lot easier than it seems and recently it just got easier with a great new home study course that shows you step by step how to do it.

How to make money at home writing and selling E-Books
With the onset of the recession money is getting much tighter for many families. There are many people in fear of losing their jobs or having their hours cut and now more people than ever are trying to figure out how to make money at home to help make ends meet.
One relatively simple way of making money from home is by writing e-books. You may have heard about people selling e-books on the internet. Most people have some hobby or area of expertise that they can write a short report or book about and put it online for sale.
The advantage of this method is that you do the work once and can get paid over and over as you make sales. The disadvantage is that you have to have to have some writing skills or this method won’t work for you.
Here are the steps involved:
First write a short report or book on a topic that you are familiar with. It is best to do this in Word or if you don’t have that program you can download the free Open Office Software and it even includes a way that you can convert your finished product into a .pdf file.
Once you finish your e-book you will need to have a way for people to pay you for it. You can open up a business account with PayPal or if you already have a personal account with them you will need to upgrade it to a business account.
In order for people to download your e-book it must be hosted on a server and you can find web hosting services for a very small monthly fee. You’ll also need a domain name.
The most difficult part of this process is promoting your e-book. The best way is to write a sales page for your e-book. Make sure you have a compelling headline and stress the benefits that ownership of your e-book will provide to the reader. Don’t forget to actually ask for the order on your sales page as well.
The final thing that you must do is to drive traffic to your sales page in order for people to see it so that they can purchase your e-book. This can be accomplished by writing articles and publishing them to the article directories or by using pay per click. You can also set up an affiliate program so that others can sell your e-book too.
Setting up a business selling e-books can be very rewarding and is a lot easier than it seems and recently it just got easier with a great new home study course that shows you step by step how to do it.
